Tamara Herman, RD

Hello, my name is Tamara Herman and I studied at Truett-McConnell College and earned two Associates Degrees, then completed my Bachelor's of Science in Dietetics from The University of Georgia. I completed my Dietetic Internship and my Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition from NYIT (New York Institute of Technology)to gain the credential of RD, LD (Registered Dietitian/Licensed Dietitian). At the time of graduation from NYIT, I was the recipient of the "Clinical Dietetic Award" for the graduating class of 2022 at NYIT. I also hold the credential "CDCES" (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) for the past , and I completed a Health Coaching Course through Emory University in Atlanta, GA. I have  26 years experience as a Registered and Licensed Dietitian and 21 years as a Diabetes Care & Education Specialist. I chose this career field of nutrition and diabetes education because I have juggle nutrition, activity, and Type 1 diabetes since the age of 8. I see this as an opportunity to encourage others.
