Background

Hello, I'm Tressa Whitman and I have been working as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for over a decade and Certified Lactation Specialist for 5 years. I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in the Coordinated Program in Dietetics and double majored in Nutrition, Fitness, and Health minoring in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. In the summer of 2013, I studied abroad throughout Italy at CAPA International Education and created a food blog to capture the essence of Italy. To my surprise I was named ambassador of their program for this food blog. My work exploring and honoring foods all around the world will shape how I create your meal plans ultimately helping to meet your goals. In my younger years, I grew up with a large garden and spent most of my time in the kitchen with family. Advocating for family mealtime, and incorporating children in the kitchen are my passions. In my teens, my family started a local food and produce business. We went to the farmer's market regularly to sell local produce and our family's popular homemade Italian bread and fruit cobblers. This fueled expansion of the business to two locations, where I worked as an associate manager. We practiced sustainability by utilizing produce in the store to make fruit and vegetable smoothies and fresh soups. I became well known for my food demonstrations, fruit and vegetable bouquets, fruit salsas, and smoothies. I was labeled as "The Smoothie Queen" in our community. Cooking and sharing whole foods recipes inspires me, and I am looking forward to inspiring you on your unique journey!
