I am fueled by my desire to assist others in gaining a meaningful, enjoyable relationship with their own nutrition. I love to work collaboratively with clients and to see them flourish, whether that be recovering from an eating disorder, navigating a therapeutic diet, or expanding food acceptance of a neurodivergent child with a limited palate. Through my years of experience working with clients recovering from eating disorders, I have gained insight into aiding those that are apprehensive to starting their own nutrition journey. These skills were further strengthened when I aided my grandfather, who was initially reluctant to follow a renal diet while he was receiving dialysis. Guiding him with appropriate food preparation in a manner he found pleasurable was a triumph in my early career. As a mother, I have learned to navigate the challenges of picky eating while guiding my own child to flourish in her dietary choices. This has proven invaluable when working with clients of any age, allowing me to better understands the needs and desires of both children and adults. Furthermore, I have had the privilege to serve within the scope of behavioral health, giving me a unique perspective on how these various diagnoses can impact lifestyle choices.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed my master’s degree at Mount Mary College with an emphasis in counseling. My education has been invaluable to me as I have learned to navigate through my personal struggles with IBS, pushing me to research beyond my initial training and look holistically at wellness. Additionally, I enjoy photographing nature or cityscapes and travel, tasting the local cuisines. I find connecting with the world around me has strengthened my ability to connect with my clients.
