Ciara Reistad, RD

Born and raised in Southern California, I now reside in the beautiful Destin, Fl. I received a BS in Molecular Biology and minors in genetics, chemistry, and bioinformatics and worked in multiple labs working with a variety of bacteria and viruses for three years. After suffering from debilitating GI issues and being told I was 'fine', I went back to school and received a MS in Nutrition with a professional practice concentration to open my own practice so others would not have to go through what I went though. It is my responsibility to help others get to the root cause of their health issues and a typical 15 minute session is not going to cut it. I am knowledgeable in many areas including lower and upper GI health and the microbiome, sports performance and recovery, cardiovascular health, weight management, and an overall healthy lifestyle (nutrition, sleep, stress, and physical exercise). I look forward to working together.

A little more about me: A youth gymnast turned volleyball player, I competed as a collegiate D1 indoor and beach volleyball player and was blessed to play three years professionally. Outside of being a RDN, I coach youth and adult beach volleyball and love concocting new herbal blends from my garden.
