My passion for nutrition and weight management comes from my own personal journey. Growing up, I struggled with being overweight, poor eating habits, and a range of health issues, including digestive problems, skin concerns, and frequent headaches. I know firsthand how frustrating and isolating it can feel to navigate these challenges alone. That’s why I’m so dedicated to helping others—because I’ve been there. I want my clients to feel supported, understood, and empowered. My goal is to be the guide I wish I had, making the journey to better health feel achievable and sustainable.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University, where I developed a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, and psychology. After graduating in 2011, I continued my education by earning a Master’s in Public Health in 2013 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This expanded my knowledge of nutrition, behavior change, and population health. The combination of these concentrations has allowed me to take a well-rounded approach to weight management and overall health, appreciating the many factors that play a role.
One of my key areas of expertise is supporting individuals who want to lose weight, especially those taking weight loss medications. I understand the complexities of having excess body fat or struggling with obesity, and I’m well-versed in all prescription medications, including their benefits, side effects, dosing, and interactions. I also have extensive experience helping individuals manage conditions such as diabetes, pre-diabetes, insulin resistance, PCOS, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
Whether it’s meal planning, mindful eating, or making small, impactful lifestyle shifts, I’m here to provide guidance, encouragement, and the tools needed for long-term success. With me, this is a partnership, and I will meet you where you are.
I’m a North Carolina native who loves the mountains and all the beauty they offer. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me spending time with my two young children, whether we’re doing crafts, exploring outside, or trying out new recipes together. I also enjoy fishing, being outdoors, and strength training—it’s my favorite way to recharge both physically and mentally
