I received my Bachelor's degree in Food Science Nutrition from Norfolk State University. I have been a runner and a vegetarian for the last 15 years. I initially became an RD to work with athletes to improve performance. After working as a senior nutritionist for Virginia Beach WIC for 5 years and improving nutrition outcomes for that agency I realized that my passion is focused on the health outcomes of pregnant/postpartum women and their children. I completed my internship through the Virginia/Maryland WIC dietetic internship. After completing my internship I stayed on with Virginia WIC as acting Program Coordinator until moving to Chicago in 2024. I am currently working at Saint Mary's Hospital where I cover intensive care and the special care nursery. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, dancing, running, karaoke and trying new restaurants and spending time with my husband and our cat Binx.
