My career as an RD started 15 years ago after feeling unfulfilled working on a pharmaceutical laboratory. I have been primarily working in the home nutrition support space but never forgot what brought me to nutrition in the first place. And that is the desire to help people to get healthier.
My training began at Memorial Sloan Kettering, where I learned a lot about oncology nutrition, which is still an interest of mine. As a cancer survivor myself, I relate to the challenges of the cancer patient, from dealing with treatment side effects to survivorship concerns. The treatment of my cancer forced me into early menopause, a drastic change in a woman's life that is largely ignored by the health community. I am passionate about changing this, and helping women stay strong and healthy through this stage in their life.
I am also a New Yorker at my core, a single woman who loves her dog more than a lot of people. So I'm also focused on finding solutions that work with the totality of your life. I live in a big city with lots to do that don't involve nutrition...my world doesn't revolve around what I put in body each day. I want to empower people to make their health choices fit into their day seamlessly.
