Laura is originally from the Pacific Northwest but has lived in the South for over 15 years with her two best buddies, her 8-month daughter, Emelynn and pup Agapo. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Music Business and an MBA at Middle Tennessee State University. After much personal reflection, her own journey through eating disorder treatment, and a desire to make more of an impact in people’s wellness and nutritional journeys, she decided to become a Registered Dietitian. She completed her Master’s and Coordinated Internship program at Georgia State University (GSU). While at GSU she received the Outstanding Dietetic Student – Coordinated Program from the Department of Nutrition as well as the Georgia Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She began learning more about the eating disorder field through her work with the EDucation and INsight on Eating Disorders (EDIN), an Atlanta based non-profit and through internships within the field. She has experience in all levels of eating disorder treatment including in-patient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programming and outpatient. Her approach with nutrition is from a non-diet, intuitive eating perspective. Her ultimate goal is to empower clients by supporting them through practical nutritional solutions that help improve their quality of life while making peace with food. She works with both adolescents and adults. In her free time, you may find her enjoying time with her daughter and pup, reading a book, or enjoying a run around the park.
