From a young age, I was active in sports, playing competitive field hockey and training for my first half marathon in high school. Unfortunately, my lack of nutritional knowledge led to severe underfueling, resulting in shin splints and missing the race. This experience ignited my passion for nutrition and a desire to advocate for athletes and clients feeling lost in their nutrition journey.
I pursued my undergraduate degree in health sciences at the University of Dayton, followed by graduate studies and a dietetic internship at the University of Pittsburgh, one of the top nutrition schools in the country. There, I specialized in sports nutrition and hydration strategies. I was then selected as one of ten for the prestigious Gatorade Sports Nutrition Immersion Program (SNIP) Fellowship at the University of Virginia, where I gained invaluable experience working with some of the world's most elite swimmers and athletes.
I am currently the Director of Performance Nutrition at Marshall University and am working towards becoming a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). I specialize in sports nutrition for athletes of all levels—collegiate, professional, or recreational—as well as weight management, gastrointestinal disorders, food allergies, and overall health and wellness. I aim to empower my clients to make realistic and sustainable dietary changes, leading to a life filled with delicious food, happy memories, and achieving their health, performance, and fitness goals.
I have completed 8 Marine Corps Marathons and thrive on the challenge of marathon training. I have a special passion for working with athletes. In my free time, I enjoy exploring local farmer's markets and hunting for the best pickles. I believe that all foods fit into a healthy and happy diet, and I am excited to work with you to develop a wHOHListic relationship with food, exercise, and your body!
